I’ve never participated in one of Graham’s Photo Challenges. For the month of July he states that
“Food” as the photograph challenge theme for July. The interpretations are endless…. it could be a photograph of your favourite meal (if it is, then be sure to include the recipe in your post!), or it could be a photograph of a fruit/vegetable or even a favourite drink…. the world is literally your oyster!!
Some of my favorite photo bloggers have posted their entries in the Challenge and this inspired me to do the same. I tried for ages to get just the right shot of instant noodles, frozen chicken nuggets and BBQ Shapes but just couldn’t get the right artistic angle.
After spending hours laboring over the angles and food placement, I wiped the sweat from my brow, cracked open a beer and contemplated a vegemite and toast snack. That’s when the inspiration muse struck! I had the photo right there in my hands … beer and vegemite. What more could I want? Using some creative 7 degrees of separation logic, I reckon that with some beer and vegemite you cover all the food groups and meet most of your dietary requirements.
So, I present my interpretation of Graham’s July Photo Challenge - Food.
Dale, I gotta tell ya that Vegemite tastes terrible! Please don’t be insulted. They told me when I was in Australia (when I tasted it) that you had to develop a taste for it. Or be brought up on it! Now the beer on the other hand…

Vegemite drink, vegemite with crackers, vegemite in soups lots of things go with vegemite though not a lot of people enjoy the taste of it. But it’s good!!

I am never into beers, so I’d comment on how your photo brought out the beautiful colors of the bottles…great composition too!

A great composition… athough being English, I would have to say that marmite is much tastier than vegemite…lol!! Dale, thank you so much for your contribution to the July challenge.
