The girls and I had a fun Saturday morning. Can you guess what we did by looking at this photo?
This photo is my entry into the Creative Photo contest. Be sure you check out the contest and all those who have entered.
Doodle Evael here … and I’m bustin outta this joint. I’m comin’ to ya right now. Surfin that ultrafast electron superhighway right into your head. I’ll be lurkin’ in there till the wee hours of the morn when I’ll oooze out and run rampant in your dreams. Or maybe not. I might just wait until your sittin at yourn desk at work then I’ll pop outta your eyes and dance like Bill just to give ya a little jerk to let you know I’m still here … then I’ll wait till another time to infect your subconscious. I like muckin round in there … connectin this bit and that bit untl I create a brand new one fer ya … ya, that’s it I’m kinda like that Dr whatshisname fer yer subconscious??// ….
Chica posts a Photo Project each week on her Photo Projectz blog. They are always challenging and often inspiring. At any given time I have a couple of her projects in the works (like the day in the life one). This week she suggested:
“shoot a photograph with something that upside down in it, or you can flip a photograph and make it upside down. How easy is that! The world look so different upside down, showcase it the best way you know how.”
Here’s my take on her project. I stood directly under this tree fern, leaned my head back and snapped the picture. It certainly gives a very different perspective. Thanks for the idea Chica.
Here I am all Doodled up and ready to go. I suspect I’ll have about a 7 month cruise before getting to Mars. Spend about 9 months on the planet bouncing around, exploring lava caves and sifting for precious metals before jumping back in my ride and taking another 8 or 9 months to retun to good ol’ Earth. Anyone wanna come along?
This is my Thursday Doodle for Doodle Week. If you haven’t guessed, today’s theme is Doodle Vacation.
Doodle Week marches on. I’m not a gardener, my lawn will attest to that, and I must confess that I rarely doodle garden style images. So, I knew today’s Doodle theme would be a challenge. I decided to Doodle my favorite place in the whole world. This is Guadalupe Peak in West Texas. Actually this doodle is of El Capitan which sits just in front of Guadalupe Peak. It’s my spiritual heart. I used to travel out here several times a year and camp and climb to the top. It was a great place for me to relax and reflect. A place to unwind and re-connect.
I took Mamma Planet there right after she arrived in the USA. I didn’t realise it then but she had never been camping and had never hung out in the desert. She was a 5 Star hotel city gal from Sydney. Needless to say, she endured but would not tell stories of fond memories trekking in the desert mountains today!

Here I am in an old photo on top of Guadalupe and looking down on El Capitan.
Now that I live in Australia, I really miss my trips to Guadalupe. So, here it is, my inspiration for a Doodle Garden.
A couple of weeks ago, I got to play Mr Mom. That was a very enlightening experience. It taught me to admire, really admire, single Mothers (and Dads too). I don’t know how they do it.
On my weekend as Mr Mom we went into the city and had a stop at the park in Birrarung Marr, Melbourne. The gals had a great time. This is my oldest gal, Juniper, attempting to do mid air splits.
Now, I’ve got to get down to creating my third Doodle for Doodle Week - the Doodle garden. Normally I do them at work but today I was in the type of meeting that requires eye contact and concentration and was unable to doodle away the time.
This is day two of Doodle Week and the theme for today is Doodle Space. Here’s my Doodle Space Doodle. You can check out all the Doodles at the Flickr Doodle Week Group.
For today’s Space Doodle, I thought I’d give you directions to the little red planet. If you happen to be rocketing around the Solar System, be sure and drop by for a visit.
cheers!

Here’s my entry this week in the Creative Photography Contest. My daughter Willow is a free spirit. She pursues everything with zest and vigor. Here’s she’s giving all she has to jumping on the trampoline. I really admire her energy. If only I could keep up!
Doodle Week is here again! Like last time, we have some doodle themes for this week:
