Today I read an article about a Wordle comparision of the US Presidential candidates speeches. Wordle creates a visiual depiction of a series of text by increasing the word size based upon number of times the word is used and relative to other words. I found this type of visual depiction of narrative fascinating. It gives an image of the points or messages most emphasized.
I got out various documents from work and toyed. It was interesting to see the emergence of rhetoric in some of my work stuff. I then opened my burgeoning Spam older and dumped the 437 spam emails into Wordle. The top image was my SPAM Wordle.

Next, I threw my resume into Wordle. I wonder if I could use Wordle to tweak my resume so that my key points or capabilities are emphasized relative to other info?….worth a go anyway. So, if you havn’t already tried, give Wordle a whirl. I’d be interested to see what you come up with and I’d also like to see if anyone has other creative uses for it.

I have to give this a go.

I always found it fascinating what people could do with text, didn’t realize there was an automatic thing for it. I’m going to have to try it out!
