New DeviantArt Portfolio Slideshow

I’ve had an account at DeviantArt.com for a couple of years now and have not used it much in the past 12 months. I started digging around there this week and notied they have made some nice upgrades. I really like this embedded slideshow. Click the ‘expand’ icon along the bottom of the show (as you move your mouse over it) and you’ll see a very classy slideshow of my featured gallery. Let me know what you think. Also, if you have a DA account, touch base with me there.

  1. Hey..

I’ve just been checking out your slideshow over on DA. Absolutely wonderful photos. I actually signed up for a DA account a couple of years ago when Inkscape had their About Screen contest for Inkscape 0.45. Since then I haven’t touched it much. But I do peruse it every now and then since there’s so much talent there. Usually I walk away from the experience very humbled. :)

Anyways, again I love the photos. What kind of camera are you shooting with (especially the swinging girl shot). My own daughter is my favourite photographic subject. I’ve been neglecting my photography of late. Browsing your work has spurred me on to get back into it. Very nice.

    • Hey Mate, thanks for the visit! I usually use a Canon 400D. The shoot on the swing was taken Monday and the lighting was just about perfect so it really made the shot. I was using a 300mm lens and on the ‘sports’ mode to get a quick capture with little motion blur. I thin the key is to always have your camera, take lots of shots and experiment – I take lots of crappy ones that you’ll never see ;-) .
