I participate in Second Shotz, a great Flickr group that promotes creative editing with each other’s photos. Each week one member is chosen to submit a photo for editing by the other group members. Last week, I submitted a photo of my little Willow basking on a grassy knoll.

There were ten published edits of Willow on the knoll. They were all great and we (Willow and I) had a blast looking to see what each had done to ‘Willow’

Here are my top three Willow edits from the week:

My number three choice was Broken Perfection’s edit of Willow’s photo. I liked the addition of the vibrant sky. It added some color and energy to the shot.

My second favorite was from BenSpark. I thought this was down right creative and very very cute. Great shot of the sunflowers too.

And Numero Uno goes to _peteej_ who came up with this amazing edit. I’m not sure if I’d like Willow pitched out of a plane over the ocean but I know she’d have a blast. I actually showed her this photo and she got a big kick out of it. The next question she asked was when could she go jump outta theplane!

As you can see, we have a lot of fun participating in this group. If you’d like to see more and join in the fun, jump on over to Second Shotz.

I would like to respectfully acknowledge Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation who are the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land I currently reside.

Using traditional Australian Aboriginal symbols, the image depicts the future dreaming of man leaving the cradle of humanity. The concentric circles the ‘campsites’ or colonies as man takes to the stars. Undulating patterns mirroring trials and tribulations persist in following the journey. The U shapes of mankind identify a new civilization emerging in the stars.

The background image is a Hubble Space Telescope shot of the Orion Nebula.

Created using the GIMP opensource image editing software on Zenwalk Linux.

Day three of Doodle Week. Today’s theme is a favorite doodle animal. I seem to have a few that get regularly doodled so I thought, as I was at work, that I’d use an idea that popped up as a result of my Doodle Monster. A few commented that my doodle monster looked more like a squashed totem pole.

Well, here today are my doodle beasts reassembled into a Doodle Totem Pole. Please excuse the errant notes that crept into the doodle

Be sure to upload your doodle and check out the others on the flickr doodle group.
