Doodle Week – My Desert Garden
Doodle Week marches on. I’m not a gardener, my lawn will attest to that, and I must confess that I rarely doodle garden style images. So, I knew today’s Doodle theme would be a challenge. I decided to Doodle my favorite place in the whole world. This is Guadalupe Peak in West Texas. Actually this doodle is of El Capitan which sits just in front of Guadalupe Peak. It’s my spiritual heart. I used to travel out here several times a year and camp and climb to the top. It was a great place for me to relax and reflect. A place to unwind and re-connect.
I took Mamma Planet there right after she arrived in the USA. I didn’t realise it then but she had never been camping and had never hung out in the desert. She was a 5 Star hotel city gal from Sydney. Needless to say, she endured but would not tell stories of fond memories trekking in the desert mountains today!

Here I am in an old photo on top of Guadalupe and looking down on El Capitan.
Now that I live in Australia, I really miss my trips to Guadalupe. So, here it is, my inspiration for a Doodle Garden.

Not only was there a rainbow outside the kitchen window, there was even the end of a rainbow! This image has no photo editing tricks. That’s the bonafide end of a rainbow. However, I can now pretty much rule out the whole ‘Pot of Gold’ myth
Don't Bet the Farm on the Weatherman – My Sunrise Surprise
Last night the Weatherman predicted early morning showers. I woke up this morning and as I was having that first sip of coffee, I cracked my eyes and looked out the kitchen window. Lo and Behold, a beautiful sunrise. This photo was taken out the same kitchen window – Dandenong Ranges, Melbourne, Australia.

Wynding Way: Image with motion

I found this isolated boardwalk at Birdlands in the Dandenong Ranges, Australia. After a few picts I just couldn’t capture the curves, motion and contrasts I was seeing. I tilted the camera and voila … an image with nice motion running down the curves of the boardwalk. Now that’s more like it!

Full Moon and All Its Weirdness
Last Month, I took this photo. I really liked the simplicity of it. I have been watching the skies and noticed that it’s almost time for another full moon. Given my daughter obsession with Mothman, I wonder if he (Mothman) would be attracted to a full moon much like a moth to a flame?
As a skeptic, I have always scoffed at the idea of a full moon influencing peoples moods and behaviors, However, there does appear to be data in my office to suggest there is a connection. Anyone have any scientific evidence they wish to point out?
