I get cockys visiting my house each day, usually in the late afternoon. Yesterday, I kept hearing something banging in the kitchen. When I went to investigate I found this guy opening my window and helping himself to the bread … cheeky bugger, it’s not even Christmas yet!

without a photo of a child in a Santa hat! We had just finished decorating the Christmas tree and our attention seeking daughter, Willow, pulled on the hat and wanted her picture taken. From the look you’d think she was all Sugar and Spice but looks can be deceiving Although wanting her photo taken, she just couldn’t sit still long enough to take a decent picture. This was the best I could manage.

It’s still hard to come to terms with a hot Christmas even though I have been living downunder for 11 years. I took the girls out to Ricketts Point this weekend. They had a great time playing in the water and I managed to get this very graceful shot. It’s amazing that on land pelicans seem so clumsy but when they take wing … it’s effortless.
