Well, I’m on the home stretch now. My Mr Mum stint is almost over. One more day to go and my better half returns from New Zealand. The kids are excited and I will be very relieved.
I had lots of good intentions but, as I reflect over the past week I realised that I have not done a lick of housework, the laundry is starting to evolve into a higher life form and the kiddos have had instant noodles too many times.
On Sunday I took them to Frankston Beach. They both luv going to the beach no matter even when it is very cold (by Australian standards) and very very windy. I captured a few shots that I liked from the trip. The first is the one above of Juniper and Willow. I don’t know why but I really like this image, the composition and color.
The one below of Willow … well, I just thought the heading on the sign behind her summed her up quiet well.

It was cold on Sunday but both my gals wanted to get outside and my wife was keen to have them out of her hair for a little while so she could get some work done. We decided to take our dog Mojo out for a walk. Willow decided she needed to take her own ‘dog’ Ginger out too. We rugged up in scarves and hats. Just outside the front door there’s some kind of mutant iris plant that grows like a weed on steroids. It’s blooming in the middle of winter - a real floral overachiever. Willow walks out of the front door and immediately heads for the iris and picks a few choice blooms. Of course I had my camera handy and caught her in the act.

My other gal, Juniper, had Mojo and headed up the steep driveway to the road. After snapping a few at Willow and the flowers, I turned and caught Juniper with Mojo. We had a great walk and a few more images from it can be found below. Hope you’ve had a great one too!

Hello my name is Harley. This was me on Sunday night. Hehehe … I’m only pretending to be asleep. I close my eyes but keep my paws ready to pounce. I do this when I’ve been naughty. My human pets find it really hard to chastise me when I am in the cute position with my eyes shut. Oh, I just can’t wait for that nimcompoop dog to wander by tail wagging. She’ll jump outta her skin when I leap to life in a nano second.
OK, see ya later … I gotta keep pretending to be cute and innocent
